Congratulations to NAHJ member, Ramon Escobar. CNN Worldwide has named him Vice President of Talent Recruitment and Development. Sitting in the vice president’s seat is very familiar to Escobar. For several years he was a vice president with Telemundo overseeing its entire news division.
Hugo Balta, NAHJ newly elected President told Richard Prince’s Journal-ism’s:
“I’ve had the good fortune to call Ramon Escobar mentor and friend. He’s been instrumental in my professional growth from a young Latino journalist to a seasoned manager in both English and Spanish language markets.”
Balta hopes to work closely with Escobar by sharing the wealth of talented NAHJ members with Escobar during his recruitment of new talent for the Cable News Network. Escobar will be based in New York.
